Mockingjay – Trailer

I think we all know the plan is to split the third book into two movies, personally I’m not sure how that is going to work, I don’t know that there is enough substance to do this. However it’s not my decision to make.

This teaser trailer has been released and I’m not sure how I feel about it, the direction they appear to be taking and all, even though I love Donald Sutherland and he plays a smarmy dictator so well.

I guess only time will tell how people respond to this trend in movies to drag adaptations out.

The Fault In Our Stars – Movie Trailer

Holy crap even this damn trailer made me cry. I am soooooooo looking forward to this film.

Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort look like they’ve done an amazing job with a couple of the most amazing characters I’ve ever read.

Divergent – Movie Trailer

The talk is good, the book sales are going well again, I’m seeing more people reading the books. I really want to see this one.

Also Shailene Woodley, two big YA films in one year. Two very different films too.

Catching Fire – Movie Trailer

Well here is the official trailer. Hope the movie is good, it looks good, and there is so much potential in the source material.

Sea of Monsters – Movie Trailer #2

So this has just been released and yes I can already see some plot changes but it looks pretty good and NATHAN FILLION! The man is awesome.

Ender’s Game – Movie Trailer

Okay, so this book is one of those Must Read books on so many YA lists. It is even one that has made school lists. Sadly it is still on my massive to be read pile. This trailer has made me more interested in reading it though and that can’t be a bad thing.

I can’t say Hollywood will get this right, I was however excited to see the cast listing for this – Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis and Harrison Ford (back in space – yay!)

Before viewing I will say some of the comments I read about the trailer lead me to think it contains spoilers so be forewarned.

Catching Fire – Teaser Trailer

Lookie, look what I found!

It is going to be really interesting to see how this differs from the book. I really enjoyed the first two books and there were a couple of things I didn’t like about the first movie but I enjoyed it for what it was.

Having said all that Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Donald Sutherland on screen at the same time will hopefully  more than make up for any misses.

May the odds…
