Mortal Coil – Book Trailer

So I found this:

Skulduggery is just so cool. I think these books would make great films. There are some really cool casting ideas out there, and some of them overlap, I saw a couple of picks for David Tennant as the man himself and I’ve got to say I think that could really work.

The End of the World

By: Derek Landy

Part of the Skulduggery Pleasant series

Ryan always thought he was an ordinary boy until accosted by four very strange people in the library. Then things begin to happen and from out of nowhere a girl dressed all in black steps in. If Ryan is to survive and figure out why he is being pursued then he is going to need the help of Valkyrie Cain and Skulduggery Pleasant. It turns out that it is not just his survival at stake but that of the entire world. Fortunately, saving the world is what Valkyrie and Skulduggery do best.

This is a totally fun and action packed short story. Skulduggery and Valkyrie are in their element, kicking butt and saving the world. Ryan is an intriguing centre to this installment. A wonderful short addition to the series. This volume comes complete with a tiny story at the end that was the result of a competition. A funny bonus, the characters chosen from the competition are great and I wouldn’t be disappointed to see them again.

Derek Landy Q & A part 4

Finally, after a uploading problem I can now post the final part of the Derek Landy Q & A. Sorry it took so long guys but enjoy.

Derek Landy Q & A part 3

So moving right along, this was a great question about magic.

Derek Landy Q & A part 2

Now moving into the next part of the Q&A  I have to tell you this comes with a spoiler alert about character development in the later books.

Wish it didn’t take so long to get these edited and uploaded for you but bear with me I will endeavour to get the rest up over the weekend.

Derek Landy Q&A part 1

So I finally got it up, the first part anyway. I will just keep posting in manageable sections until I have done all the footage.

The sound isn’t brilliant, it is better than I thought at one point I did think I may have to transcribe it for you, fortunately not.

Derek Landy – Tour Teaser and Book Giveaway

Okay so I was going post all the Landy stuff today but it may take a while to piece it together so in the mean time I will say it was awesome.

Right from the beginning he engaged his audience. He was great fun to listen to.

He began by talking a little about himself and his life. He also told some funny stories about his pets before moving into a Q&A session.

The questions the audience asked were interesting and his answers insightful. He addressed such things as character development and a possible Skulduggery movie.

As my footage is still importing I will post instead the information for the book giveaway. All I want you to do is post a comment that tells me who your favourite Skulduggery character is and why. Winner will get this book.

It is signed.

And just to prove it is a legit signature here’s my signed book with the same signature

I also got something for my friend Erin

Now you have to come and visit me sometime babe.

To all you wonderful Skulduggery fans I will hopefully manage to get the footage sorted for tomorrows upload.

Skulduggery Pleasant

By Derek Landy

Stephanie knew she would miss her uncle but she hadn’t expected to be left the better part of his estate when he died. His parting words through his lawyer ‘the world is bigger than you know and scarier than you might imagine. The only currency worth anything is being true to yourself and the only goal worth seeking is finding out who you truly are’, turn out to be rather prophetic.

She meets Skulduggery after the funeral but has no idea he is soon to become very involved in her life. He is a private detective; wise-cracking, off-centre, cunning and a powerful magician who mostly plays by his own rules. Through him Stephanie finds a world she never knew existed. Skulduggery is a sworn enemy of evil and Stephanie want to join in the fight. Oh and to make matters even more interesting Skulduggery is dead.

An exciting, fun and highly entertaining read that is liberally laced throughout with dry humour. It keeps you interested until the very end. Skulduggery and Stephanie are an unusual pairing but they really work.
