Becoming

So my book is due out next week and it fits into that crossover area between Fantasy and YA. I have just revealed the cover art on my FB Author page and because this is my blog I figure there is no reason I can’t plug it here too.

And yes it has a kick ass female central character, as if that should surprise anyone.

April 2013 sees the release of Lili Wilkinson’s next book, The ZigZag Effect.

Lili’s books are fun and engaging and I am looking forward to this next one.

Mark Of Athena – Cover Reveal/Chapter Tease

Okay so I am looking forward to this, but then I always do. I love the Percy Jackson books and that goes for this series as well.

Here are some covers:

The Australian one

The US one

Also if you are like me and impatient then maybe you will want to read the first chapter. I did and was again reminded of why this is a bad idea because now I really want to read the book but that won’t make it get here any faster. Teaser chapters are evil, but the link is here.

Which cover do you think is best? And do you like torturing yourself with first chapters?

A Corner of White – Cover

Coming out later this year (September) is best selling author, Jaclyn Moriarty’s new novel,  A Corner of White, this comes with a wonderful cover quote from Markus Zusak (author of The Book Thief).

Perfectly strange, and absolutely comical and heartfelt… Jaclyn Moriarty is one of the most original writers we have.‘  – Markus Zusak.

A little about the book:

Madeleine Tully lives in Cambridge, England, the World – a city of spires, Isaac Newton and Auntie’s Tea Shop.

Elliot Baranski lives in Bonfire, the Farms, the Kingdom of Cello – where seasons roam, the Butterfly Child sleeps in a glass jar, and bells warn of attacks from dangerous Colours.

They are worlds apart – until a crack opens up between them; a corner of white – the slim seam of a letter.

The Serpents Shadow – Cover & Sneak Peak

Look what I found today, it was wasn’t there when last I looked, the cover art for the new Kane Chronicles book and a link to the first chapter.

Looking forward to this much…why yes I am.

Cover Art – City of Lost Souls

Well we’ve had and read the Clockwork Prince so that means attention has now been turned towards Cassandra Clare’s other series The Mortal Instruments. The release date for this book is still months away but the cover art has been released and here it is. What do you think?
