A Bear and a Tree

By: Stephen Michael King

Ren’s favourite tree has lost its leaves, Bear is collecting the leaves for a bed for his big sleep, he knows that Ren needs him for just one more day so they can explore the sights and shapes of winter together; the snow, the coloured leaves, the moon, the stars, the icicles. It is one more day to play and wonder.

A soft and lovely story of friendship and taking time. It is a nicely balanced story of wonder and change. The water colour illustrations give this story its soft appeal. A lovely story to share. For all its cold winter landscape it is a heartwarming story.
