There are shipboard disasters, shipwrecks, plenty of puzzles and of course the answer to the big question – will they find the treasure?
This is the first of the Geronimo Stilton books and they don’t need to be read in any particular order. They are great as first chapter books because although the amount of text may look daunting, some of the words are shaped and coloured which encourages younger readers to sound out words as they learn to read. These books are also one of the few series with colour illustrations. The stories and characters are fun and they are able to hold a young readers attention.
