Goblin at the Zoo

By: Victor Kelleher

Illustrated by: Stephen Michael King

Gibblewort has had enough of Australia so he tried to post himself home to Ireland. Things don’t go as planned and he doesn’t make it. When he wakes up he thinks he is lost in Africa. In an effort to stay safe he squeezes into what he thinks will be a nice safe cage. He is wrong and a lovesick chimp just wants to lavish kisses on him. Gibblewort has to escape but everytime he thinks he has, something goes terribly wrong. He is thrown, shaken, kicked, tossed, electrocuted and kissed and he just want to get away from the zoo.

Gibblewort is laugh out loud funny and a little bit gross. A very enjoyable read with fun illustrations. I feel it may appeal to boys a little more.
